San Francisco – August 17, 2015 – Ubisoft® has partnered with Stoopid Buddy Stoodios, the award-winning studio behind “Robot Chicken,” and Sony Crackle’s upcoming “SuperMansion” with Bryan Cranston, to pull off a first-of-its-kind concept for the launch trailer for Toy Soldiers: War Chest. Toy Soldiers: War Chest is a fast-paced mix of tower defense and action gameplay that allows players to recreate imaginative battles in two versions, Hall of Fame and standard, which are available now on PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system, Xbox One, and Windows PC in North America.

The trailer concept is a hybrid stop-motion, live-action gameplay combo where viewers witness an imagined battle played out in a world where the highly-trained special mission force, code name: G.I. JOE led by Duke and the Masters of the Universe™ army led by He-Man™ join newcomers to the toy box Cobra Commander and Assassin’s Creed’s Ezio in an epic battle between nostalgic action figures.

The company is widely known for creating highly unique visuals and telling character-driven stories with an uncanny sensibility. Stoopid Buddy Stoodios is behind a diverse slate of commercial, digital, TV and feature projects including season eight of Adult Swim’s four-time Emmy®-winning series “Robot Chicken” and “Robot Chicken DC Comics Special III: Friendship is Magic,” both of which are currently in production; Sony Crackle’s digital series “SuperMansion” starring Bryan Cranston,, which is currently in production as well; Sony Pictures Animation’s hybrid stop-motion, live-action animated feature “Superbago”; a BRATZ digital series for MGA Entertainment; Denny’s web series “The Grand Slams”; and Mattel’s “WWE Slam City,” just to name a few.

“We’re big fans of Ubisoft and honored to have the opportunity to work on the official game trailer for their upcoming Toy Soldiers: War Chest action game,” said Stoopid Buddy Stoodios co-founder Eric Towner. “We love classic action figure brands and strategy defense games so we couldn’t be more excited for fans to see this trailer.”

Added Stoopid Buddy Stoodios co-founder John Harvatine IV, “Our unique style of creativity combined with Toy Soldiers’ gripping game content makes for an epic live action, stop-motion animation battle. Fans are going to experience nothing they’ve seen before. We had a lot of fun reimagining the characters and giving them a taste of our own personality and humor. Gamers are going to enjoy this one!”

“We wanted a trailer that would showcase the bold personalities of iconic characters like G.I. JOE and He-Man,” said Adam Novickas, vice president of marketing. “Stoopid Buddy Stoodios was the perfect group to bring Toy Soldiers: War Chest to life with their keen sense of humor and expertise in stop-motion animation battle.”
