Where was the Mealthy Multipot when I had the kids at home? There are so many things I could have made without a lot of preparation or time invested back then.  First I will tell you about all of the advantages of using the Mealthy Multipot, then I will share with you what I made with mine.

The Mealthy Multipot is 9 Appliances in 1

The Mealthy does all of the following:

  • Pressure Cook
  • Slow Cook
  • Saute
  • Steam
  • Bake (Can you imagine?)
  • Make Yogurt (I can’t wait to try this one as we love yogurt).
  • Rice Maker (Rice YAY this will replace my rice cooker so 1 less appliance on my shelf.)
  • Pasteurize (I will have to read up on this one as not sure what I will use it for yet.)
  • And finally, warm things up

The Mealthy even comes with a 1-year manufacturer’s warranty you just have to register your appliance on the Mealthy website.

The worst question in our home has always been “what’s for dinner”, now more like “what should we have for dinner?”   It is like the daily question that hasn’t gone away.  Between my husband and I each working online and recently I have been helping my son with his 2 kids.  Dinners aren’t always easy to put together without either eating later or eating takeout.  With the Mealthy Multipot, we no longer have to worry about that.

I couldn’t get over how much time the Mealthy Multipot has saved me. It is a crockpot on steroids.  You can hit delay if you need it to start later or just click a couple of buttons to let it know what you want it to do.

I decided to make a pot roast in ours for my first go around and it turned out perfect.

The recipe book that comes with the Mealthy Multipot had a Pot Roast from their team included and it looked so good so I decided to try out their recipe for something different.

Ingredients:

  1. (3 pounds) boneless beef chuck roast or shoulder, trimmed.
  2. salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste.
  3. 2 tablespoons olive oil
  4. 1 large yellow onion, chopped
  5. 3 garlic cloves, minced
  6. 1 (14.5 ounces) can beef broth
  7. 3/4 cup dry red wine
  8. 2 fresh thyme sprigs (or just sprinkle dried thyme to your liking)
  9. 2 fresh rosemary sprigs (or just sprinkle dried rosemary to your liking)
  10. 2 pounds Yukon Gold Potatoes, scrubbed and cut into 1 1/2-inch chunk
  11. 6 carrots, peeled and cut into 1 1/2-inch chunk
  12. 1 bay leaf

Directions:

  1. Season beef generously all over with salt and black pepper
  2. Heat Olive oil in your MultiPot set to Saute.  Cook beef in hot oil until browned on all sides, 5-7 minutes. Transfer to a plate.Mealthy MultiPot for Moms
  3. Saute onion and garlic in the remaining hot fat until soft and fragrant, about 3 minutes.  Pour beef broth and red wine into the pot to deglaze, using the flat edge of a wooden spoon to scrape any brown bits of food from the bottom of the pot.
  4. Return beef to the pot; add thyme and rosemary.Mealthy MultiPot for Moms
  5. Lock Multipot lid in place, turn steam vent handle to Sealing, and select Meat/Stew. Cook on High Pressure for 45 minutes.  Let the pressure release naturally. Remove lid.
  6. Add potatoes, carrots, and bay leaf to the pot. Mealthy MultiPot for Moms
  7. Lock Multipot lid in place, turn steam vent handle to Sealing and cook on High Pressure for an additional 4 minutes.  Turn steam vent handle to Venting to quick-release pressure.  Remove lid.
  8. Discard thyme and rosemary sprigs (or skip this step if you used dried).  Transfer beef to a large serving platter.  Arrange the vegetables around the pot roast to serve.
