Celebrating Grandparents’ Day Sunday, September 9, 2018

I never knew exactly what my Grandma’s meant when they said being a Grandma was “The Best” until I became a Grandma myself. I became a Grandma over 5 years ago when I met my first grandchild Emma. I used to joke that we inherited her because my oldest son started dating her Mom. But now I don’t remember a time when she wasn’t a part of our life. Now we also have her brother who is almost 3 1/2 years old. Where does time go? Emma who will be 8 at the end of November and Zakary who won’t be 4 til this coming April has helped me realize what my Grandmas’ were talking about.

Being a Grandparent gives you a second chance at all of the fun you seemed to be ‘too busy’ to enjoy when you were raising your own kids. My grandson is a spitting image of his Daddy, so there are many times I am taken back to those times long ago…and I cherish every minute.

If I can be even 1/4 of the Grandma my Grandmas were, I will be doing pretty good. Celebrate Grandparents’ Day on Sunday, September 9, 2018) and get the Grandma in your life something she can keep forever with Precious Moments.
