Jennifer Chase is an award-winning author and consulting criminologist.  She has authored six crime fiction novels, including the award-winning Emily Stone thriller series along with a screenwriting workbook.

Jennifer holds a Bachelor degree in police forensics and a Master’s degree in criminology.  These academic pursuits developed out of her curiosity about the criminal mind as well as from her own experience with a violent sociopath, providing Jennifer with deep personal investment in every story she tells. My Review: 

Disclosure:  I received a copy of Dark Pursuit in order to facilitate my review.  All opinions are my own. 

Jennifer Chase’s “Dark Pursuit” is book 5 from the “Emily Stone Series”.  This is a fast paced thriller that puts its hooks in you from the moment you read the first page.

Emily Stone is a not a member of law enforcement but pursues and punishes people suspected of breaking the law. She is dedicated to catching serial killers with her love interest/friend Rick by her side. Before coming upon this most recent crime, Emily has quietly solved several crimes previously. She sends the results anonymously to the police for them to capture the bad guys.

Together Emily and Rick are actively working on the Tick-tock killer case.   The Tick-Tock killer has kidnapped and killed several young girls. Emily is determined not to let his latest victim, Sara, be harmed. The Tick-Tock killer plays games with Emily, Rick and the police by promising to end Sara s life in exactly four days.

Follow this latest story with its twists and turns.  Not only will you feel like you can see into Emily’s mind like you are looking through a window.  You will also be able to be a part of the killer’s thoughts and feelings as well.

My hat is off to Jennifer’s writing.  You know an author is a talented writer when you walk away wondering what the characters are doing until you can sit down and continue reading.

I recommend this book to anyone that enjoys a psychological thriller. Although this book is number 5 in the Emily Stone series it stands on its own.

Jennifer is surely an author to keep your eye out for!
